“I’m looking for a website with X, Y & Z.

I also need A, B, C & D.

Oh, and I’m looking to do it on the cheap”

I see this all the time in proposal requests online. This request will not get any quality proposals, because by mentioning a low budget you are immediately putting off the quality bidders by self-identifying as a poor quality client.

What happens instead is you’ll receive lower quality proposals only.

Instead, just leave out the “doing it on the cheap”, and you’ll get more, and better proposals. You can then sort by budget.
